Dr Julie Whitehead

Practical expertise in PCOS and other female fertility issues

After studying medicine at Melbourne University, Julie trained in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Mercy and the Royal Women's Hospitals before specialising in infertility. During this time she spent a year training in Bath, England.

Julie undertook a research project into the fertility of women undergoing chemotherapy during her Masters in Reproductive Medicine.  She is now a senior lecturer at Melbourne University and has an ongoing interest in research and teaching.  

Having worked with Melbourne IVF for over 10 years, Julie’s IVF practice manages all types of infertility. She has a particular interest in Polycystic Ovary Syndrome and is also a specialist in the PCOS clinic at the Royal Women's Hospital.
