Scott trained in obstetrics and gynaecology at Monash Medical Centre, obtaining his Fellowship in 2002 before completing a two-year specialism in Advanced Laparoscopic and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery, which he now performs at the centre.

Scott trained in IVF at The Women’s Hospital, Melbourne, and is a consulting specialist for Melbourne IVF. He now teaches the techniques of laparoscopic surgery to gynaecology trainees, as well as Australian and overseas surgeons. He has organised conferences, presented papers and publishes medical research. He also won the AGES Travelling Fellowship award in 2003.
